Amos 3
Rimproveri e minacce
6 The trumpet sounds it in a city without the people tremble? A disaster, she falls over a city, without which the Lord wrote it? 7 Because the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his secret unto his servants the prophets. 8 The lion roars, who will not fear? The Lord, the Lord speaks, who does not profeterà?
9 Proclaim this on the palaces of Ashdod and the palaces of the land of Egypt, say, 'Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria, and see that there are large disturbances in the middle it, and oppression which have place in his heart '. 10 They do not know what is right, says the Lord, build up in their palaces the fruits of violence and robbery. 11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold the enemy all around the country, he will topple your strength and your palaces looted saran.
12 Thus saith the LORD: As the shepherd snatches from the throat of the lion two legs or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel in Samaria who are now sitting on the corner of a damask of the sofa or a bed.
This verse is not easy to interpret, but the rest of this chapter gives us so we understand that when you know the things that God has a greater responsibility in front of him.
Israel had known the Lord and had seen and experienced firsthand its power.
not forget the fabulous flight from Egypt, the manna from heaven, and all the miracles in the desert.
Yet the people complained ... even preferred the days of slavery in Egypt, when he was oppressed and exploited. That of the desert, was a journey long to the Promised Land forty years, but the Lord never did anything to miss his country when asked.
The problem is another: How much faith do we have?
misled the people were behind the false gods even knew the difference between an idol of stone and the living God.
Knowledge is essential for the believer. Is not everything, but it is still one of the bases for the faith and know someone who has known the greatness of God and even more so will be even more responsible to the Creator.
7 Because the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his secret unto his servants the prophets. 8 The lion roars, who will not fear? The Lord, the Lord speaks, who does not profeterà?
want us to know?
He does not act without first having made us partakers of his plans. Indeed, we have the Bible, which is where the believer as a testament law and God's word and always speaks in a different way from the first time.
He's got left, but if we do not read will be held accountable in front of him.
not we ask why certain things happen, because if they really had the interest, surely the answer we found in the Scriptures, the Lord reveals things when a heart desperately seeks.
The Lord roars and corrects, who appreciate his reproof? Who will listen?
man away from God combines the troubles that we all know and who very often ascribe to the Lord himself. The Lord mocks the curses of men, but honors those who stay and accept the rebuke that comes from this book.
The Word of God not only brings to light the weaknesses of the iniquities of man, but also points the way to follow Jesus Christ. It entertains, comforts, teaches, and when the heart is steadfast, makes joyful too.
10 They do not know what is right, says the Lord, build up in their palaces the fruits of violence and robbery. 11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold the enemy all around the country, he will topple your strength and your palaces looted saran.
The fruits of man in these verses are violence and robbery. This sow? Well according to the law of wages, collect violence and robbery. As one who sows the wind picks up a storm.
12 Thus saith the LORD: As the shepherd snatches from the throat of the lion two legs or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel in Samaria who are now sitting on the corner of a sofa or on a bed of damask.
This verse is cryptic, but it means that those passing through the discipline of the Lord does not come out whole, but battered. It is not because being tortured for the sake of evil. No, for reproof means collide with the nose of the consequences of their evil that was committed, and this is never pleasant for anyone.
When we understand our mistakes we would go back and change and do it another way, but you can not. It is here that is wrong, this is where we suffer, because it could have gone one way, but it went in another.
So ...
Today, if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the day of provocation.
(Hebrews 3: 15)
